Peeking at your Etsy shp would suggest there's a theme going here. How about Twilight or Night Sky?
Blueberry!
It reminds me of Prince..so I say it's name should be 'the yarn formerly known as...'
Shooting star?
Midnight Fantasy?

Poseidon. (to go with Neptune.) :)
pleione
from wikipedia:
"One of the stars in the Pleiades, called Pleione, is sometimes called Purple Pleione because, being a fast spinning star, it has a purple hue caused by its blue-white color being obscured by a spinning ring of electrically excited red hydrogen gas."
my blog is at icypurl.wordpress.com =]

I suggest "Passion Flower" the purples remind me of these passion flowers that grew at my Grandmother's home when I was growing up.

I saw your contest link on Ravelry. Immediately upon seeing the beauitful yarn I thought....
Indigo Nights

Somehow the colors say "Aphrodite" to me.
Beautiful colourway. I'd call it Huckleberry.
My email address is my name at librarygirl.co.uk.
Andromeda.
In astronomy, the Andromeda Galaxy is the closest spiral galaxy to the Milky Way, and the one most visible to the naked eye. It's one of my favorite things to look at through a telescope:

Beautiful yarn.
Orion
Nocturne
Midnight Splash!
Purple Mountain Majesty
My first thought, upon seeing the photos, was 'Mood Indigo'.
I'm Kendra at Ravelry!
This colorway reminds me of an Irish sunset...when the sky is deep blue of impending night but is still streaked with lavender, pale pink and just the beginning of the twinkling of stars.
My suggestion...Celtic Sunset.
Kemberlee on Ravelry, or contact through my blog, linked here.
I'm going to say Horizon because it looks like where the purple and blue of a setting sky.
Or morning glory, I've seen flowers that color.
Canyon Dusk
Queen of the night -
(teabird on Ravelry)
It's a beautiful colorway!
on my screen, it's the exact color of blueberries.
so i'd call it "blueberry harvest" or "bar harbor blueberry" since the state of maine produces 25% of the blueberries grown in the US

Belladonna. It reminds me of the poisonous plant that is so beautiful.
I would call that Nocturne.

Hooloovoo
A Hooloovoo is a superintelligent shade of the colour blue.
Little is known of them, except that one participated in the construction of the starship Heart of Gold. At the launching ceremony one was temporarily refracted into a free-standing prism. This is probably analogous to the ceremonial multicolored lab coats worn by the rest of the team.

I saw your contest post on ravelry (I'm morsecode over there). My first thought upon seeing this colorway was "Hanoli" (I'm listening to a monster audio book that's the name of one of the many secondary characters in it and after googling I now know that it is also the name of a star system referenced in Star Trek). For some reason the color just associated itself with that lovely name in my mind.
It definitely reminds me of the sky late on a summer night, so I would go with 'Evensong'.
My thoughts are either Dunkelblau (German for "dark blue") or The Wine-Dark Sea, which is a beautiful Homeric phrase.
Happy yarning!
xamonster@ravelry
Hmm... the deep purples and blues with just a shot of a lighter color going through make me want to say...
Stardust!!
you can pm me at Ravelry (Ambrrr).
Ooh! Beautiful! I think Stormy Seas would be a good one - it reminds me of the ocean at night during foul weather.
kerry(dot)clem(at)gmail(dot)com
Veruca Salt. It reminds me of the colors of a blueberry and that's what she turned into.
eicart(at)gmail(dot)com
Violet Beauregarde! (Oh, sorry, Tracie - just saw your comment above mine. Violet's actually the one who turns into a blueberry. "Violet! You're turning violet, Violet!")

Ohhh that is pretty. I think it reminds me of a gorgeous gem like a sapphire or a tanzenite held up to the light.
Sapphire Bay or Tanzenite Nights
I'm KimnCocoa on Ravelry or my blog here.
I love this colorway - it's really rich & lush...
I vote for "She Wore Blue Velvet"

I'm skat130 on Ravelry. My email is the skat130 at yahoo dot com.
Undertow
:)
I didn't actually read any of the others, so this may be similar to what's already here. It reminds me of Twilight's Edge, that point where there's still some other light in the sky but it's mostly already that deep navy, just when the stars start coming out.
Twilight Walk
I'll suggest "Moonlight Sonata" or "Moondreams". It's definitely got a quiet night thing going on.
Email address is 'jenipurr at gmail dot com'
How about Galaxy?
(Followed your link in Ravelry, either PM me there, username tattva1knits, or leave a comment on my blog - that gets emailed to me.)

I'm going to say "Lydia," because she was known for selling "purple things."
I learned this in college, when I took a Humanities class that included reading parts of the Bible. My favorite color has always been purple, and so when I read about Lydia having a stall where she sold "purple things," I was very amused. I'm sure the original text was a little more specific...
So, Lydia is my vote.
It reminds me of a buoquet of deep hued flowers. I'd call it "Iris and Violets." It's beautiful!
Tracy tracy@notonlyamom.com
Others may have beaten me to this, but "Blueberry Hill" seems perfect.
Or "Blueberry Pie" because it truly looks good enough to eat.
Thinking of rock songs led me to "Deep Purple Jam" and "Purple Haze," but the clever references might not be obvious enough.
I'm YanTanTethera on Ravelry.
Nurple...
or Purplitude.
Or something a bit more "mainstream" might be Midnight Voyage or Maritime, or even Mainstream!
I'm monkeyknits on Ravelry. Fun contest, BTW!
Bonnie Blue Butler
I loved the name of Rhett and Scarlett's child in Gone with the Wind

First of all, that colourway is absolutely gorgeous!! I love, love, love it.
My suggestion is "Northern Lights". It reminds me of the night sky with the shimmering lights of the aurora.
Oh, and I'm Spudd on ravelry.
I would say Pansies or Bluebonnets but I usually go with nature stuff.
Beautiful yarn by the way!

"Starry Night"
Midnight Sapphire (fitting color so close to the Virgo Birthdays about to start!)

Twig beat me to Starry Night - the second thing that came to mind (with the other half behind me popping in his two cents LOL) was Siberian Squill, i.e. the name of a beautiful bluish-violet perennial that blooms as one of the first plants after a long and tough Siberian winter
oops sorry, submitted without email

or
Night Storm?
I love the color BTW
technorhetor[at]gmail[dot]com
Star Fire.
It reminds me of watching a bunsen burner. The blue/purpley color actually indicates a hotter flame than the reds and oranges we generally consider hot.
I haven't read all the other suggestions, so forgive me if it's taken...

Violaceous - meaning blue-purple, but it also has such a delicious sound to it!
Blue Moon - the lighter parts remind me of moonlight shining through a curtain of bluey night.

Satin Bowerbird (or just Bowerbird).
It's an Australian bird. The males, which are about the same colors of this yarn, are awesome architects and decorate their nests with blue bobbles and ho hums to attract the females.

Lovely color! How about "Moonlight Becomes You" since the slight hint of silvery grey amidst the mixture of dark blues reminds me of a sliver of moonlight in a night sky. :)
